At The Law Offices of Benjamin T. McLawhorn, we are always seeking motivated young minds for Legal Internships to assist our team in the Raleigh or Greenville Offices.

This internship program lasts approximately 3 months, with the possibility of further employment following a successful completion of the program. We are constantly looking to grow the firm and for the right candidates to help us do just that. You will be working closely with our team who will help guide your work habits and provide you the experience needed to understand the operation and procedures of a multi-jurisdictional law firm.

If you’re up for the task, we are looking for someone eager to learn and the ability to follow along quickly. Should your qualifications fit our needs, you will have the opportunity to participate in a fun, collaborative environment while gaining real-life experience in the legal field.

Main Job Duties to include:

1. Memoranda and brief writing

2. Client intake and communication

3. Legal research

4. Scheduling and task organization

5. Drafting of pleadings and judgments

Requirements:

1. Current Enrollment in bachelor’s degree program

2. Ambition

3. Integrity

4. Drive

5. Persistence

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 20 hours per week

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Part-time, Internship

Salary: Unpaid position

Schedule: M - F - 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility around class schedules) but at minimum 20 hours per week in-person work is required.
